László Seregi, Hungarian choreographer of such masterpieces as Spartacus, Sylvia, Romeo and Juliet, A Midsummer Night's Dream, The Taming of the Shrew and, among many other pieces, the super-popular Hungarian version of Cats, passed away at the age of 83.
The Hungarian State Opera welcomes audiences to two premières and numerous successful productions which are in its repertoire again. The choice includes light and dramatic operas as well as dance compositions by the Hungarian National Ballet.
This year's Junior Prima awarding ceremony was held on 25 November. The Junior Prima Award, founded in 2007, is distributed to 10 talented young people per respective categories in the fields of Science, Sport, Education, Music, Literature, Theatre and Film, Applied Art, Architecture and Press.
