    Classic ballet in one act

The Hungarian National Ballet will be performing, on a single night, three one-act ballets whose atmospheres, technical styles and levels of difficulty contrast with each other in every possible way. What's more, several of these evenings will feature a special version of the first piece on the programme, Robert North's all-male ballet, Troy Game. This all-female version, appearing for the first time in Europe, is appropriately titled Troy Game - with Amazons. Jiří Kylián's choreography of Mozart's playful music takes the viewer to the absurd world of reality. The final - and also most difficult - piece is a worthy summary of the evening, and perhaps of the entire art of ballet: Harald Lander's Études showcases ballet itself, from rehearsal to the stage, from exhausting practise session to triumphant performance.
