Szabolcs Hámori | Opera Singer
He sang in the Children's Chorus of the Hungarian State Opera House from 1988 to 1990. He studied singing and composition at Weiner Leó Secondary School of Music between 1997 and 2000, and studied singing at Bartók Béla Secondary School of Music between 2000 and 2004. He was a member of the Opera Studio of the Hungarian State Opera House in 2003/2004 as a student of Ionel Pantea. He participated in Júlia Hamari's master class in 2003. His repertoire mainly includes bass roles of Mozart and Donizetti operas, but he also sang in Puccini's La fanciulla del West at the Miskolc Opera Festival in 2002. He has appeared in a number of oratorio performances since 2005 at concert halls including the Palace of Arts and the Academy of Music. Szabolcs Hámori debuted in the Opera House in the role of Alaska Wolf Joe in Mahagonny in 2009.
