Viktória Nagy | Set and Costume Designer
She graduated from the Hungarian Academy of Fine Arts as a scenic designer in 2000. In the first years of her studies she attended painting courses, which determined her approach later. Her style as a designer is characterised by colourfulness and an openness to experimentation as well as a diversity of genres, as she has created designs for contemporary and classical ballets, dramatised tales, experimental chamber performances, operas, feature films and television films. Her designs have appeared on many smaller and larger stages in Hungary during the last decade. She also started to teach some years ago. Her major designs: Madách: The Tragedy of Man (Zalaegerszeg), Dvořák - Pártay: Gone with the Wind (Opera House), Gyöngyösi: The Stork Caliph (Opera House), Liberté '56 (film), Bernstein: West Side Story (Szeged Open-Air Festival), Stravinsky: Histoire du soldat (Merlin Theatre), Ullmann: Der Kaiser von Atlantis (Palace of Arts).
