Ádám Horváth | Opera Singer

He studied in Graz and in Claudia Rüggeberg's class at the Singing and Opera Department of Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music, where he graduated as an opera singer in 2003, and obtained a master's degree in Lieds and Oratorios in 2007. After winning the AIMS American International Singing Competition, he lived in New York from 1995 to 1998, where he studied with Jerome Hines, and Marshall Williamson at Juilliard School. He joined the San José Opera, California in 1997. Since 2000, he has appeared as a guest singer in Austria, Germany, Italy and the United States. He has sung on many CD recordings including Mozart's Don Giovanni (title role), Mozart's Die Zauberflöte (Papageno) - both conducted by György Győriványi Ráth, and Bartók's Bluebeard's Castle (title role) - conducted by János Kovács. He has sung at the Hungarian State Opera House since 2006.
