Angela Nisi is an Italian lyric soprano, known and appreciated both in the operatic and symphonic repertoire as well as in chamber music. She regularly performs in prestigious Opera Houses and Concert Halls such as Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia di Roma, Teatro Massimo di Palermo, Teatro Carlo Felice di Genova, Teatro dell'Opera di Roma, Teatro San Carlo di Napoli, Teatro Regio di Torino, Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Teatro Petruzzelli di Bari, Aalto-Theater Essen, Teatro Verdi di Trieste, Teatro Lirico di Cagliari, Sao Paulo Brasil Opera House, Fondazione Toscanini di Parma, Festival della Valle d'Itria, Festival Donizetti di Bergamo, Orchestra Regionale Toscana, Orchestra Filarmonica Marchigiana.

She worked with important conductors such as Jordi Bernacer, Giampaolo Bisanti, Daniele Callegari, Aldo Ceccato, Francesco Ivan Ciampa, Francesco Cilluffo, José Cura, Gianluigi Gelmetti, Francesco Lanzillotta, Daniel Oren, Renato Palumbo, Antonio Pappano, Donato Renzetti, Andriy Yurkevych; and directors such as Alfonso Antoniozzi, Henning Brockhaus, Andrea De Rosa, Davide Livermore, Francesco Micheli, Leo Muscato, Pierluigi Pizzi, Stefano Poda.

She's the winner of several international voice competitions among which 1st prize and engagements at !Ottavio Ziino” Competition (Rome 2012) and 1st prize at the !F. Provenzale” Baroque Competition in Naples (2006).
Angela Nisi studies under the guidance of Cristina Melis. Previously she graduated in Singing at Monopoli Conservatory and then she studied with Margaret Baker and Manuela Custer. She also got a Master in Soloist and Orchestra Repertoire (Monopoli) and attended the School of Acting at the Teatro Stabile di Torino directed by Davide Livermore and at the Santa Cecilia Opera Studio in Rome with Renata Scotto. She's also graduated in Musicology at Rome Tor Vergata University. She has been part of several recording productions for Naxos, Tactus and Dynamic labels.
