Born in Budapest in 1974, Richárd Riederauer graduated from the University of Miskolc's Béla Bartók Institute of Music in 2000 with a degree in music theory, solfège and choral conducting. In 2001, he signed with the Hungarian Army Male Choir, later becoming the baritone section leader as well as the ensemble's second choirmaster. He has also served as the second chorusmaster of the Erkel Theatre's chorus since 2013.
Also active as a composer for years, Riederauer has earned professional recognitions for the pieces he has written for Ballet Pécs and others. In 2013, he was presented with the Hungarian Silver Cross of Merit, civil division.
