From 14 September 2020, the guided tours of the Opera House are not available until further notice due to the restoration of the public areas.

Thank you for your understanding.

Although the Opera House is under restoration and partially closed, participants of the OperaTour have the privilege to enjoy a shorter guided tour and see parts of the amazing and magnificent interior. Guided tours that also include a short concert start at 2 p.m., 3 p.m. & 4 p.m. daily. (We reserve the right to make changes.) Tours are available in English only.

The guided tour takes visitors to the Foyer, the Grand Staircase, the Feszty Bar, the Red Parlour,  the Royal Staircase, and the Bertalan Székely Parlour.

Tickets can be purchased either on-line or in person at least 20 minutes before the start of the tour, during opening hours (from 1 July, every day between 12 pm and 5 pm), with cash or bank cards either in the Opera Shop or at the booth set up for this purpose in the foyer of the Opera House. Cash and all major cards are accepted.

Ticket price & concessions

Tickets for the tours cost HUF 2,500 per person, which includes the services of the guide, the 27% VAT, photo opportunities and a brief production.

    - children under the age of 6 go free;
    - 50% off under the age of 14;
    - 20% off for students with international students' card over the age of 14;
    - 20% off for senior citizens over 65.

Concession tickets can be purchased at the Opera House in person, your eligibility must be confirmed with a valid photo ID. The concessions cannot be combined with other discounts.
