Goldmark: The Queen of Sheba – on the big screen
film
September 11., Saturday 19:00
Eiffel Art Studios – Miklós Bánffy Stage
As one of the winners of the Hungarian National Film Institute’s tenders, the Opera has completed its first true opera film using an earlier theatrical production of the opera The Queen of Sheba (Die Königin von Saba). We are especially proud that we were able to do so with our own equipment: the recording used as the film’s audio track was recorded in Eiffel Art Studios’ Fricsay Studio and the film was recorded at the Bánffy Stage by our own crew. We managed the shoot at external locations, and we are happy that the film’s red carpet premiere was held in our very own cinema theatre, making use of the Bánffy Stage’s capabilities as a screening room to be exact.
