Favourite excerpts from Le nozze di Figaro, Don Giovanni, and Così fan tutte are performed at the Hungarian State Opera’s Best of Mozart concert. Accessible to all and ideal for a relaxed summer evening, the programme is presented by outstanding singers with piano accompaniment at the Ybl Palace on 28 June 2026.
The announcement came as a surprise to the coryphée of the Hungarian National Ballet during the curtain call following the 8 June performance of The Sleeping Beauty. The swan-shaped award, crafted by the Herend Porcelain Manufactory, was presented by ballet director Tamás Solymosi in the presence of the company and to the acclaim of the audience.
Tennessee Williams’s world-renowned drama returns to the repertoire of the Hungarian National Ballet between 19 and 27 June 2026, in Marianna Venekei’s full-length choreography set to an original score by László Dés. The leading roles are performed in a double cast by Lea Földi and Jessica Carulla Leon, Iurii Kekalo and Raffaello Barbieri, as well as Artemisz Pisla and Katerina Taraszova at the Eiffel Art Studios of the Hungarian State Opera.
