With the renovation of the Simándy Wing, in addition to offices, rehearsal rooms, and mechanical areas, the OPERA has gained an extra space: a rooftop terrace has been created atop the more than 30-meter-tall structure.
In 1931, Miklós Radnai founded the memorabilia collection. The war-torn collection, which had fallen into disarray during World War II, was only inventoried again in 1973.
The OPERA Vault is not only a collection of physical relics but also an unimaginably vast and invaluable compilation of photographs and video recordings.
It is often said – since it is undeniably true – that people learn best through play. Opera, as an art form, is filled with thrilling stories, mysteries to unravel, questions open to interpretation, and messages that resonate differently with each viewer.
