The 28 February 2021 Masquerade featured bass Péter Fried and baritone András Káldi Kiss who made a selection of their favourite Italian, Russian, French and German operas. Their aria recital was streamed from 8:00 p.m. on Facebook and Origo.hu.

Péter Fried studied at the Academy of Music between 1980 and 1987 and has been a soloist of the Hungarian State Opera House since his graduation, one of the principal bassists of the theatre. His repertoire ranges from Baroque pieces to Romantic operas and contemporary music. He contributed to the premières of a number of 20th century and contemporary Hungarian compositions. His career is marked with excellent performances at the Opera and abroad, In Europe, America, Canada and the Far East. He has worked together with such personalities as Robert Lepage, Jukka-Pekka Saraste, Péter Eötvös, Jessye Norman and Pierre Boulez. His achievements were recognized with the Bartók–Pásztory Award in 1992 and the Ferenc Liszt Award in 2004.

András Káldi Kiss studied at the opera department of the Ferenc Liszt Music Academy under Sándor Sólyom-Nagy, Ádám Medveczky, András Mikó and András Békés. He graduated in 1993, and in the past three decades, audiences of the Opera has seen him in a wide range of baritone roles in numerous productions. The core of his repertoire is made up mostly from operas of the Romantic period, but he also performs in pieces by Mozart and contemporary compositions. His international career took him to stages in Europe, Japan, China, Canada and the United States.
