He began his musical studies in 1996 at the Church Music Department of Emanuel University in Oradea, then continued two years later at the Bartók Béla Secondary School of Music in Budapest, majoring in classical singing under the guidance of Márta Németh.
In 2000, he was admitted to the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music to study Singing and pedagogy (MA), where he graduated in 2005 as a student of Éva Andor, head of the department. His first major success as a singer came in 2002 at an international singing competition and masterclass in Baden bei Wien, where he won second prize in the three-round competition.
He made his debut at the Hungarian State Opera in October 2002—while still a student—singing the role of the Constable in the world premiere of Gyula Fekete’s one-act opera A megmentett város (The Rescued City).
Following numerous acclaimed Mozart leading roles at the Hungarian State Opera, he was invited to the Glyndebourne Festival in England, where he performed in the autumn season of 2015, and in 2016 at the Opéra de Tours in France, where he sang the leading role of Belmonte in Mozart’s Die Entführung aus dem Serail.
Thanks to the Opera’s international guest performances, he has also taken part in tours in Japan, South Korea, and across the Carpathian Basin.
In addition to Mozart, his repertoire at the Opera includes works by Donizetti, Verdi, Leoncavallo, Monteverdi, Purcell, Offenbach, Johann Strauss, Richard Strauss, Puccini, Wagner, and Erkel.
Alongside his operatic engagements, he is also a frequently invited soloist for oratorios and concerts both in Hungary and abroad.
