Viktória Tarpai was born in the Subcarpathian community of Nagymuzsaly (Muzhiyeve) in 1984 and acquired her love for the theatre at Éva Vidnyánszky's drama studio in Beregszász (Berehove). Between 2002 and 2005 she was enrolled at the Hungarian Drama Academy of Pest, where her teachers were László Huszár and Imre Sipos. She has been a member of the Gyula Illyés Hungarian National Theatre in Beregszász since 2005, appearing with the company in numerous theatres and festivals both in Hungary and internationally. She has performed at the National Theatre and the Gózon Gyula Chamber Theatre, among other venues. She is making her Opera House debut in the piece Two Women. Her principal roles include Rosalinda (Shakespeare: As You Like It), Miranda (Shakespeare: The Tempest), Katerina (Ostrovsky: The Storm), Kashtanka (Chekov: Kashtanka), Irma (Molnár: The Glass Slipper), Magdó (Tamási: Songbird), Irén (Csiky: Freeloaders), Tünde (Vörösmarty: Csongor and Tünde), Flóra (Bródy: The Teacher), chorus (Juhász: The Boy Changed Into a Stag), Linka (Tersánszky: Marty Cuckoo), Eszter (Nagy: Satan's Bastard), Juli (Zelei: Zoltán Reburied). She also appeared as the young girl and a chorus member in the film version of The Boy Changed Into a Stag.
