Zoltán Bátki Fazekas graduated from the opera department of the Ferenc Liszt Academy of Music in 1997 as a student of Valéria Berdál, Márta Ónody and Kálmán Gyimesi. From 1991 to 2007 he was a member of the National Theatre of Szeged. He appeared at the Csokonai Theatre of Debrecen for eight seasons, and has made guest appearances at the national theatres of Pécs, Győr and Miskolc. He has been singing at the Hungarian State Opera since 1998. His major foreign engagements were in the Netherlands, Germany, Austria and Poland, and he has also appeared in the USA. In addition to his career as an opera singer, he is also a poet, songwriter and solo voice teacher.
