
György Hanczár
Opera singer
György Hanczár was born in Békéscsaba in 1988 and started his career as a singer in musicals and operettas. In 2015, he made a successful debut in the genre of opera, portraying the role of Tamino in the production of Die Zauberflöte directed by Róbert Alföldi at the Natonal Theatre of Szeged. In that same year, also in Szeged, he sang the role of Nemorino in L'elisir d'amore. His teacher is István Andrejcsik. In 2016, he won the grand prize at the József Simándy Singing Competition, and also took a special prize at the Bartók Plus Opera Festival.
