Prisca Baumann was born in Stuttgart in 1987 and pursued her studies in set and costume design as a student at that city's Staatliche Akademie der Bildenden Künste and Ludwigsburg's Akademie der Darstellenden Künste between 2007 and 2012. In 2010, she worked as a guest assistant at Schauspielhaus Zürich, returning as an assistant set designer in 2012-2014. Since 2012, she has collaborated on productions as a set and costume designer, including in Zürich, Esslingen and Vienna. In 2014, she designed the costumes for the Opera's productions of Cavalleria rusticana and Pagliacci.
