Nóra Rományi graduated from the Secondary School of Visual Arts in 1993, and then spent a year as an assistant costume designer at Hungarian Television. She then earned her university diploma in apparel design from the Hungarian Academy of Applied Arts in 1999. Since 1998 she has worked as the costume designer for Interoperett. Since finishing her thesis work, for which she designed costumes for Kodály's musical drama Háry János, she has been involved primarily in musical productions, including the opera production of Bánk bán on Margaret Island in 2000 and the music drama The Disciples of Jesus presented at the Vörösmarty Theatre in Székesfehérvár in 2003. She also designs costumes for television dramas, and also enjoys collaborating with dancers and dance ensembles. Her costume designs have appeared at the Budaörs Playhouse, the Madách Theatre, Kecskemét's Katona József Theatre, Békéscsaba's Jókai Theatre and the National Theatre of Győr, among other venues. In 2016 she received the Nelly Vágó Commemorative Plaque.
