Due to ongoing restoration works of the Neo-renaissance Opera House in Andrássy út, performances of the Hungarian State Opera take place at its two other venues until March 2022. However, tickets are now available for our 2022 performances, including those held in the Opera House. Please, don’t forget to bring your masks with you, either.

The classical opera and ballet repertoire can be seen at the Erkel Theatre (Erkel Színház), while modern, contemporary and mixed-genre productions can be attended at the Eiffel Art Studios (Eiffel Műhelyház), the new artistic complex of the Opera. Visitors may enjoy classical concerts at both venues.

In line with the regulations of Hungarian law, immunity certificates are not required for attending performances held by the Hungarian State Opera. However, wearing a face mask covering the mouth and nose is mandatory at our venues as of November 16, 2021.

Starting from March 2022, we will welcome audiences back at the renewed Opera House with accessible auditorium, more comfortable seating, better acoustics, and cutting-edge stage technology.

The 2022 program of the Opera House is available here. Tickets are already on sale.
