In Brief

Introductory presentation with video screening

Speaking of his choreography at the age of 80, László Seregi (1929-2012) said, “I created my A Midsummer Night's Dream in the twilight of my life, and I have wonderful members associated with that work. What I'm fondest of, and what I've identified as the most successful part of the choreography, is the scene of the two amorous couples beset by intrigues and sorcery.” Seregi created the central piece of his legendary Shakespeare trilogy (Romeo and Juliet, A Midsummer Night's Dream and The Taming of the Shrew) based on the well-known music that Felix Mendelssohn wrote to one of the Bard of Avon's most popular comedies.
