Big Projection Day
In Brief
A home cinema in the bedroom? Exciting and priceless stories of great beauty in each cube? Stereo sound, true to life? Slide film, for many of us, the super projector of our childhoods, was able to do all of this. The images cast on a stretched-out sheet, the voices of our parents and the heat and noise of the slide reader made for the kind of indelible family experience that would be a shame for today’s children to miss out on. But they don’t need to miss out! The aim of the national Big Projection Day is to evoke, each year, the atmosphere and seance-like feeling of a slide projection session, so that children and their parents can experience this old, but by no means obsolete, form of storytelling.
We are ready to warmly welcome the school groups from the local kindergartens, along with the children of our own employees, to the principal event of the day, which takes place at the Eiffel Art Studios. The excellent narration will once be supplied by the popular media personality – and practising father of a large family – Gergő Süveges, with pianist Miklós Harazdy providing the musical backdrop.
