In Brief

Performance length: , without intermissions

Ferenc Snétberger's career has been going for more than three decades and he has lost none of his momentum. He could have played guitar like Al Di Meola or George Benson, because he had all the skills he needed. But he chose the harder way: to find his own voice. An unmistakable, intimate sound, combining classical training, the Roma tradition, flamenco and jazz. This is what made him stand out from the crowded world, earning him the collegial company of names like singer-songwriter Bobby McFerrin and legendary bassist Richard Bona. Ferenc Snétberger has made many friends in the music world over the years.

For his current concert, he has invited his old bandmate, the Swedish double bassist Anders Jormin, to join him.
