László Beöthy-Kiss completed his studies at the Béla Bartók High School of Music and the Ferenc Liszt Music Academy, where he graduated in 2003. He has also participated in master classes with Anna Reynolds and Júlia Hamari. A member of the Opera Studio during the 2003/04 season, he then went on to be a soloist at the Hungarian State Opera. In 2004 he reached the finals in the Lugoj Tenor Competition in Romania and was one of the winners of the Mezzo Opera Competition and Festival in 2008. His main roles include those of Don Basilio (Le Nozze di Figaro), Monostatos (The Magic Flute), Spoletta (Tosca), Pang (Turandot), Beppo (Pagliacci) and David (Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg).
