Marcell Dénes-Worowski graduated summa cum laude in conducting from the Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst in Vienna. He also graduated as a double bass player in Vienna and as a music teacher at the Liszt Academy of Music. He is currently the Assistant Conductor of Concerto Budapest orchestra and a regular guest conductor of the Danubia Orchestra, the Saint Stephen Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Alba Regia Symphony Orchestra, and has also performed with the ORF Radio-Symphonieorchester Wien, the Baltic Philharmonic Orchestra and the Hungarian Radio Symphony Orchestra. As a double bass player, he is also present in the Hungarian orchestral scene, being a member of the double bass section of the Saint Stephen Philharmonic Orchestra and performing regularly with ensembles such as Concerto Budapest orchestra, UMZE, the Danubia Orchestra, and the Ligeti Ensemble. In addition to his activities on both sides of the orchestra, he is a student of Music Theory at the Doctoral School of the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music and also works as a music pedagogue, not only as a teacher but also as a concert pedagogue. He was awarded a special price by the Hungarian State Opera at the 2023 Zoltán Kodály International Music Competition: he will make his debut at the Budapest Opera in the 2024/25 season with performances of the ballet The Taming of the Shrew.
