Szilvia Dobrotka was born in the Vojvodinan town of Zenta (Senta) in 1983. After graduating from music high school, she was admitted to Verona's Conservatorio di Musica Evaristo Felice dall'Abaco to study solo voice under Maria Sokolinska Noto. In 2006, she commenced her studies at the University of Szeged's Faculty of Music under the guidance of Istvén Andrejcsik, earning a degree in voice and voice pedagogy in 2011. In 2009, she won the Richard Wagner Scholarship. She made her debut at the National Theatre of Miskolc in 2014, in the role of Donna Elvira (Don Giovanni). In the 2016/17 season, she is singing Senta (in Der fliegende Holländer).
