Eduard Martynyuk’s recent and upcoming appearances include Herman in Pique Dame and Cavaradossi in Tosca at the stage of Opera Brno, Vaudemont in Iolana and the Pretender in Boris Godunov with Bolshoi Theater Moscow, Jason in Cherubini’s Medea at the Linz Landestheater, Herman in The Queen of Spades on the stages of The Grange Festival, Zurich Opera, Bolshoi Theater Moscow, Hungarian State Opera.
Martynyuk took on the title role in Zandonai's Giulietta e Romeo, as well as Manrico in Il Trovatore, Jason in Cherubini’s Medea, and Erik in Der fliegende Holländer, a role he also reprised at the Real Filharmonia Galicia in Vigo, Spain. At the Bolshoi Theatre Belarus, Martynyuk could be seen as Vaudemont in Iolanta, Radames in Aida. He could be seen in the title role of Faust at the Opera Brno and in Kuala Lumpur, and Grigori in Boris Godunov at Bolshoi Theatre Moscow.
Marynyuk started his professional career as a soloist of the Odessa Music Comedy Theater, later he joined the Ural Operetta Theatre and Belarus State Academic Music Theatre. Since 2004 he is the soloist of The Bolshoi Opera Theatre of the Republic of Belarus. Since 2011 he has been a regular guest soloist at the Bolshoi Theatre Moscow.
Eduard Martynyuk’s wide ranging repertoire includes Vaudemont in Iolanta, Vladimir Igorevich in Prince Igor, Young Gypsy in Aleko, Kashchey in Rimsky-Korsakov’s Kashchey the Deathless, Don Jose in Carmen, Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly, Cavaradossi in Tosca, Rodolfo in La bohème, Calaf in Turandot, The Duke in Rigoletto, Radames in Aida, German in The Queen of Spades, Erik in Der fliegende Holländer, Yuri in Tchaikovsky’s The Enchantress, The Pretender in Boris Godunov.
