Tímea Fülöp was born in 1988 in Kolozsvár (Cluj-Napoca), where she pursued her education from 1995 until 2007, first at the Sigismund Toduta High School of Music, studing piano under Tibor Papp, and then at the Gheorghe Dima Academy of Music, earning a degree in music pedagogy and classical voice performance. She also returned to the music academy for the years 2012-2014 to earn a master's degree in classical voice performance under the guidance of Carmen Gurban. Her repertoire includes symphonic works in addition to opera and operetta roles.
Her principal roles include Rodelinda (Handel: Rodelinda), Amore (Gluck: Orfeo ed Euridice), Bastienne (Mozart: Bastien et Bastienne), Pamina (Die Zauberflöte), Barbarina/Susanna (Le nozze di Figaro), Donna Anna (Don Giovanni), Clorinda (La Cenerentola), Gianetta/Adina (L'elisir d'amore), Marianna (Wagner: Das Liebesverbot) and Herma (György Selmeczi: Byzantium).
She has also sung the roles of Ileana the Beautiful (Péter Tóth: Prince Árgyélus), Lilia (Gypsy Love), Rolla (Miska the Magnate), Sylva (The Gypsy Princess) and the Bayadère and Carambolina (Bayadère). Her symphonic repertoire includes works by Bach, Haydn, Beethoven and Liszt.
