Zsuzsanna Fülöp graduated from the Ferenc Liszt Academy of Music in 1994 with degrees in opera singing and voice, and has been a soloist with the Hungarian State Opera since 1995. In that same year, she also appeared at the Hungarian Culture Festival in Hamburg and gave aria recitals in South Korea. In 1997 she would take part in a tour of Sweden and Norway, singing the role of Pamina (in Die Zauberflöte). After winning the Hungarian State Eötvös Scholarship, she got the chance to study with the Wiener Staatsoper's vocal coach in 2000. The following year saw her giving concerts in Paris and Lyon organised by the Austrian Cultural Forum. At the 2002 Budapest Spring Festival, she sang the lead female role in the Hungarian premiere of Poulenc's opera Dialogues des Carmélites at the Liszt Academy. In 2002 and 2003 she made more appearances as Pamina, now at the Kraków Opera and Zürich's Kongresshalle, making for a total of more than 150 times that she had sung this principal female role from Die Zauberflöte in various cities across Europe between 1997 and 2003. In the summer of 2003 she sang the role of Micaëla in Carmen at the Loreley Festspiele. The year 2005 brought a number of engagements, including a song recital at the Hungarian Academy in Rome in April, singing Donna Elvira (in Don Giovanni) at the Gars am Kamp Opera Festival during the summer, and another song recital in October, this time at the Hungarian Cultural Centre in London.
