Kristóf Koczor was born in 1983 in Szeged, where he graduated from the University of Szeged's Juhász Gyula Faculty of Education in 2006 with a degree in English and cultural management. He then went on to earn another diploma in solo voice in 2011 from the university's Faculty of Music under the guidance of Sándor Bárdi, Mária Temesi and Tamás Altorjay. He has taken part in master classes with Krisztina Laki, Éva Marton, Mária Temesi and Ionel Pantea. Since 2008, he has been making guest appearances at the National Theatre of Szeged, including as Sciarrone (Tosca), Antonio (Le nozze di Figaro), Samuel (The Pirates of Penzance), Alcindoro (La bohème), the Tutor (Le comte Ory), Tom (Un ballo in maschera), the Sweet Melon King (Secret Stars) and Snare (Sly).
