Born in Budapest in 1952. Pál Kovács graduated from the Ferenc Liszt Academy of Music in 1977 and joined the Opera as a soloist. In 1988, he signed with the Kisfaludy Theatre in Győr, again as a soloist. In January 1993, he appeared at a gala concert in Cologne, and later returned to the Opera as a soloist. He has been a member of the Hungarian State Opera Chorus since 2000.
