Dóra Pattantyus was born in Budapest in 1993. After earning her high school diploma in the U.S. state of Virginia, she returned home to live in Hungary. She took up her career in the theatre in 2013, as assistant costume designer to Fruzsina Nagy. She has worked on the following productions: The Party (Krétakör, Trafó House of Contemporary Arts; director: Árpád Schilling), Platonov (Radnóti Miklós Theatre; director: Róbert Alföldi), Haben (“Tiszazug”, “Have”) (Volkstheater, Vienna; director: Róbert Alföldi), Iphigenie auf Tauris (Hungarian State Opera; director: Róbert Alföldi). She joined the Opera as a costume fabricator in 2014 and took part in numerous productions over the next two seasons. She made her debut as a costume designer in Creative Relationships, a 2016 joint production between the Budapest Operetta Theatre and the Miskolc Opera Festival directed by Kriszta Székely. HungarianLateNight is her second assignment as a designer.
