Tímea Zita Somogyvári earned her degree in solo voice at the University of Szeged under the guidance of Valéria Berdál. She then continued her studies in Vienna, graduating with a degree in song and oratorio after studying with Walter Moore. She is currently a member of the National Theatre of Szeged and also teaches solo voice at the University of Szeged's Vántus István Teacher Training High School. She is a permanent soloist at oratorio and symphonic concerts held by Filharmonia Hungary. And the Szeged Symphony Orchestra. With a repertoire ranging from the Baroque to contemporary works, she has joined the Pannon Philharmonic on its tour of France and at its concerts in Hungary and is a regular fixture in the musical life of Szeged. She often sings at song concerts organised by Filharmonia Hungary, at church music events held by the city of Szeged, at the University of Szeged's autumn and spring festivals, as well as at the thematic “Musical Album” recitals at the Somogyi Károly County Library. Her principal roles include Biancofiore (in Zandonai's Francesca da Rimini), Clorinda (La Cenerentola), Dzsufi (King Pomádé's New Clothes), Nina (in Donizetti's Il giovedì grasso), Gianetta (L'elisir d'amore), and First Lady (Die Zauberflöte).
